Not temporary, part-time, uninsured and low-paid jobs. Our economic recovery requires solid, middle-class, career-building, family-sustaining jobs.
San Diego City Council President Ben Hueso has started the year right by proposing a new City policy to require local hiring for public works projects and large redevelopment contracts. His policy would put special focus on jobs for veterans and economically disadvantaged San Diegans.
