PMS Workers Organize | It took almost
four years for the workers at Professional Maintenance Systems (PMS) to
gain their right to collectively bargain for better wages, benefits and
working conditions.
Grocery Workers Win in Southern California |
After months at the bargaining table, over 60,000 grocery workers voted
overwhelming to ratify a contract this past Sunday, July 22, 2007. The
new contract eliminates the two tier system, increases wages annually
over four years, and vastly improves access to healthcare for workers
and their families; it will be valid through March 6, 2011.

Workers Ratified a First Contract | Workers at Children's Hospital ratified their first contract
in April 2007 after more than three years at the
bargaining table. Service workers at Rady
Children's Hospital have won better wages and benefits, and a voice on the job
that includes, job security, seniority, and grievance procedures.
